About Us

Image of the exterior of the new Kingston Secondary SchoolKingston Secondary School (KSS) is a new 171,000-square-foot facility featuring programming for up to 1,340 students (240 intermediate students and 1,100 secondary students), including English programs in university, college and workplace pathways, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, and intermediate and secondary extended French and French Immersion.

KSS brings together students from the former Kingston Collegiate & Vocational Institute (KCVI) and former Queen Elizabeth Collegiate & Vocational Institute (QECVI), and relocates Grade 7 and 8 intermediate French Immersion/Extended French students from Module Vanier.

Our staff is committed to providing an accepting and safe learning environment for all students. We are dedicated to providing students with a variety of co-curricular activities such as clubs, athletic programs, special events and other opportunities to enrich their high school experience. We highly recommend that all students get involved in the school’s co-curricular program: to meet new friends, discover more about themselves and be more connected to our school.

Together, we will build on our impressive history to forge a vision for the future of this remarkable school.
